Chris Gunter will captain Wales against Panama in a game that he will become the joint most capped outfield player.
Gunter will earn his 85th cap against the South American team, which puts him level with the late Gary Speed.
“To be captain is a big thing. It means the world to captain your country,” Gunter said ahead of training at Cardiff City Stadium today. “And to be level with someone of Gary’s stature in Welsh football is a huge honour.
“To get to that number, it is quite special to equal his record.”
Neville Southall remains the most capped Wales player of all time with 92 appearances
