The Football Association of Wales will be taking part in the National Eisteddfod in Cardiff Bay this year by putting on free fun footballing sessions to children in Welsh.
FAW Coaching at the National Eisteddfod

Working in partnership with the FAW Trust, the coaching sessions will take place on Grange Gardens’ Maxi Pitch, within walking distance of Cardiff Bay. The Maxi Pitch was donated by UEFA as part of the Champions League Final legacy in 2018.
The coaching sessions will take place between 9:30am – 1:30am on the 7-9 of August. Children aged between 5 and 14, of all abilities will be welcome to take part.
On Thursday the 9 of August Jayne Ludlow will announce her squad for the crucial World Cup Qualifier against England at the end of August. The announcement will take place at Caffi Maes B at the Eisteddfod, with the band Adwaith opening the press conference.
After the press conference, on Thursday afternoon at 3pm, the FAW will host a panel session at the Llannerch Gudd, housed in the Craft in the Bay building. Ian Gwyn Hughes, Head of Public Affairs and Stakeholder Engagement at the FAW will chair a panel with Dylan Ebenezer, Manon Steffan Ròs and Simon Brooks who have all recently written books about football. The session will discuss the role of commentators and sports writers in Wales.
