The second half was tense and the match was decided by Barmouth’s Nathan Warren with just 12 minutes’ left.
Connor Kendrick scored a hat-trick for Penycae in their 4-2 win at Saltney Town and the 21-year old from Wrexham was shortlisted for the Player of the Round award. A brace from Thomas Redman was enough for Coedpoeth to beat AFC Brynford 2-0 in another North-East Wales derby.

The Qualifying Round 1 Player of the Round Neil Thomas scored from the penalty spot on 6 minutes and Rob Daniels struck on 17 minutes, but it didn’t get any better for the visitors after that.
