There have been two changes in the Wales U19 Squad:
The next generation will be showcasing their talent in November as Wales look to make it through their UEFA qualifying group with home advantage and reach the Elite round of fixtures.
Wales open their campaign at the Racecourse against Greece on Thursday, 10 November while England take on Luxembourg in Rhyl. Two days later, England provide the opposition as they take on Wales at Nantporth while Luxembourg play their second match in Rhyl as they take on Greece. The Group 6 fixtures are completed on Tuesday, 15 November when Wales play their second match at Nantporth against Luxembourg and Greece take on England in Rhyl.
In preparation for the qualifiers, Wales played two friendly fixtures against Iceland at Dragon Park early in September, losing 2-1 in the opening match before gaining a credible 0-0 draw two days later.
Highly-rated striker Tyler Roberts scored the only goal for Wales, and the West Bromwich Albion youngster, currently on-loan at Oxford United, will have a key part to play if Wales are to qualify for the next stage.
The qualifying round is made up of 13 groups of four teams. The top two from each group progress to the Elite round alongside the third-placed team with the best record against the top pair in their group.
The UEFA Under-19 Championship finals will take place in Georgia in 2017.
England reached the semi-finals of the last tournament and will be desperate to take one step further this time around having missed out on a place in the final with a 2-1 defeat to Italy. However, it was the first time England had qualified for the finals since 2012, having been eliminated at the Elite round stage for three consecutive years.
Greece boast a better record, reaching the final in 2012 and the semi-finals in 2015, and qualifying for the Elite round in 2013, 2014 and 2016.
The last time Wales reached the Elite round was in 2014, while Luxembourg are yet to make through the opening round of qualifiers, winning just two games in the last five campaigns.
