Wales U17 suffered a narrow defeat against Greece in an international friendly match that was played at Nantporth Stadium in Bangor.

The Dragons were defeated by a 9th minute goal that was scored by Kyrialanis Athanasios and despite working hard to find an equaliser, it was never to come for Geraint Williams' young team.

Sam Phillips, Liam Angel and Ibraim Sosani all came close with equalising worthy efforts but Greece somehow managed to keep Wales out.

The teams meet each other again on Thursday (27 August) for a second friendly match at Nantporth Stadium. The kick off will once again be at 3.00pm.
