WILLIAMS NAMES SQUAD AHEAD OF U21 CHAMPIONSHIPS OPENER

Wales U21 Manager Geraint Williams, has named his squad for the UEFA U21 Championships Qualifying Group 5 opener against Bulgaria at Cardiff City Stadium on Tuesday, 31 March.

Williams has named 18 players in his squad that includes Declan John from Cardiff City, Lee Evans from Wolverhampton Wanderers and Liverpool’s Harry Wilson.

Alongside Wales and Bulgaria in Group 5 is Denmark, Armenia and Luxembourg, who are all vying to qualify for the Finals in Poland.

Automatic qualification can be achieved by winning the group and four runners-up with the best record against the teams first, third, fourth and fifth in their groups will go into the play-offs.
