Swansea City and Cambrian & Clydach Vale will meet in this season's FAW Youth Cup Final following their semi-final victories.
FAW Youth Cup
- Swansea City 1-0 Newport County (AET)
- Llandudno 1-7 Cambrian & Clydach Vale
Holders Swansea progressed at the expense of Newport County but the Swans were made to fight hard for the win.
Extra-time was required to separate the teams despite Jordan Garick hitting the crossbar for Swansea during the first half.
Newport had a fantastic chance to win the tie in extra-time but Momodou Touray saw his effort cleared off the line.
The winning goal was scored in the 113th minute after Swansea were awarded a free kick outside the Newport box. Causso Darame stepped up to take the kick and scored by hitting the ball over the wall and beating the goalkeeper to his left.
Cambrian & Clydach Vale ran riot against Llandudno in the other FAW Youth Cup semi-final after winning 7-1.
Josh Maksimovic opened the scoring inside 10 minutes before the Rhondda outfit doubled their lead through David Thomas with a 33rd minute penalty.
As the hour mark approached, Owain Jones scored for Llandudno to make it 2-1 but any hopes of a comeback were dashed when Cameron Keetch reinstated Cambrian's two-goal lead.
Maksimovic scored his second and Cambrian's third goal from the spot, following which, Keetch completed his hat-trick with Sam Jones also registering on the scoresheet.
Details on the 2017 FAW Youth Cup Final, which is to be played on Sunday 23 April, will be released in due course.
