Senior Research Assistant for the Centre for Football Research in Wales (University of South Wales)
The Centre for Football Research in Wales is a collaborative partnership between the Faculty of Life Sciences and Education, University of South Wales (USW) and the Football Association of Wales (FAW).It is also affiliated with the Welsh Institute of Performance Sciences (WIPS).
The Centre for Football Research in Wales has been designed to promote, facilitate, and conduct multidisciplinary research in football in order to support best practice in performance, player development and welfare, coach education, participation, and health.
The mission of the Centre for Football Research in Wales is to engage in high quality research across the disciplines of sport science and coaching within the context of football. It also strives to generate research funding from International Governing Bodies and European research funding councils to ensure a sustained approach to research. Further, it aims to align with the mission of WIPS by way of research collaboration that supports the development and performance of athletes across Wales.
USW are, therefore, seeking a Senior Research Assistant to support the general research activities of the Centre for Football Research in Wales and WIPS. The role is positioned to support research in the areas of sport psychology, coaching science, and/or performance, and is thus aligned to associated areas of the FAW’s High Performance Strategy
