FAW Tier 2 & Tier 3 Applicants Confirmed

The applicants have been confirmed for FAW Tier 2 and FAW Tier 3 Certification for the 2020/21 season. 

Fifty-four clubs have applied for FAW Tier 2 Certification for the 2020/21 season. FAW Tier 2 Certification is a prerequisite for participation in the JD Cymru North and / or South.

In addition to the existing 33 JD Cymru North and South clubs, 21 Tier 3 clubs have also applied.

These applications follow 45 successful applicants at the end of the previous Tier 2 Certification cycle.

All clubs are assessed on Infrastructure, Personnel and Legal criteria and a full list of applicants can be found below.

Ninety-three clubs have applied for FAW Tier 3 Certification for the 2020/21 season. FAW Tier 3 Certification is a prerequisite for participation at Tier 3 of the Welsh Football Pyramid from the start of the 2020 / 21 season.

Fifty-four applications have been received from existing Tier 3 clubs including; 15 from the Welsh Football League, 14 from the Mid Wales League, 11 from the Welsh Alliance League and 14 from the Welsh National League.

In addition, 30 applications have been received from Tier 4 clubs and 9 Tier 5 clubs have also expressed an interest to be considered. The FAW will inspect these grounds in the coming weeks.

All Applicants are assessed on Infrastructure criteria and will have until 30  April 2020 to meet the criteria.
