Vauxhall FAW Awards 2017
The Football Association of Wales Awards 2017, sponsored by Vauxhall, were held at Hensol Castle at the Vale Resort on Monday (2 October).
Attendees celebrated a year of Welsh football at the event from FAW Fair Play Award winners and the JD Welsh Premier League Cliubman of the Year to honouring players from the Men’s and Women’s National Teams.
The top FAW Player of the Year Awards went to Laura O’Sullivan and Chris Gunter for their performances in the famous red shirt.
The Fans Player of the Year Awards, which were voted on by the public via Wales Online, went to Joe Allen and Jess Fishlock, meanwhile, Ben Woodburn and Peyton Vincze picked up the Young Player accolades.
The Media Choice Award this year went to Wales midfielder Dave Edwards and Ian Rush was handed the Special Award for his services to Welsh football.
