Wales finished the Istria Cup tournament in fifth position following a penalty shoot-out win against hosts Croatia in Pore today (11 March).

After Croatia had taken a 41st minute lead through Maja Jošak, Wales struck back with an Angharad James (pictured above) goal during the 68th minute.

Sarah Wiltshire came close to scoring a winner towards the end of the match but at full-time the score was 1-1.

As this was a 5/6th position placement match, the game went straight to penalties to determine the final positions for Croatia and Wales in the tournament.

Wiltshire, Emily Hollinshead and Helen Bleazard scored from the spot and when Kristina Šundov failed to net for Croatia, Wales confirmed their 5th place finish with a 3-1 penalty shoot-out win.
