  • Marbella, Spain

Ludlow has selected a strong squad with a mix of experience and youth, selecting Sophie Ingle, Jess Fishlock and Natasha Harding along with eight players under the age of 21.

Elise Hughes and Anna Filbey will miss out on the camp due to injury, but defender Ffion Morgan has been recalled after missing last month’s 2-0 defeat against Italy with an ankle injury.

Also selected is striker Kayleigh Green, having served her suspension after picking up a red card in a goalless draw against Portugal last November.

The sides last met in the 2017 Cyprus Cup which saw Wales lose 1-0 after Katie McCabe scored the winner for the Republic of Ireland.

Colin Bell’s side finished third in their 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup qualifying group, picking up an impressive draw against UEFA Women’s EURO 2017 winners the Netherland’s along the way.

The matches in Marbella will be a good test as Welsh preparations continue for the UEFA Women’s EURO 2021 qualifying campaign. Jayne Ludlow’s side will discover their qualifying opponents on Thursday 21 February as the draw takes place at 12:30 in Nyon, Switzerland (GMT).

Both matches will be available to watch live on the FAW Facebook page.
