Wales U19 look to bounce back from defeat

Wales U19 have played the first of two friendly international matches against Iceland in Rhyl and will look to bounce back from their 4-0 defeat when the teams next meet on Monday, 4 September at 5:00pm.

In the first match between the teams on Saturday, Iceland found themselves three goals ahead by half-time. Stefan Ljubicic gave the Icelanders the lead from the penalty spot following a foul in the box by Joe Lewis in the 29th minute.

Iceland then scored two quick goals before half-time as Ljubicic netted again before Gudmunder Tryggvason added the third.

On the hour, Tryggvason scored his second and Iceland's fourth goal of the match to confirm the victory for the visitors.

The second match against Iceland will once again take place at the Corbett Sports Stadium in Rhyl, where there will be free entry.
