Our focus is always to reach the elite round and play the top nations, and that's what we've managed to do. These tournaments are all about developing our players and preparing them to potentially step up into the national senior team. There's some really good teams in the group but hopefully we can get some support to travel over the border with us and the girls can put in performances for our fans to be proud of.
In the 2020/21 qualifying round, Cymru will face the Republic of Ireland, Portugal and North Macedonia in group 3. Portugal have been selected as hosts for the mini-tournament and matches will take place on November 2, 5 and 8.
The top two in each group progress to the elite round in March 2021 along with the four third-placed teams with the best record against the top two in their group. The seven elite-round winners will join hosts the Faroe Islands in the finals that May.
